Seems that X-Men: Apocalypse will be the X-Men movie that follows up X-Men: Days of Future Past. Which means we have an idea what the end credits scene will be.
The news was announced by Bryan Singer (the X-Men director who left the series to die with The Last Stand- yup, still bitter) on his Twitter account, writing merely:
Said film will follow the Age of Apocalypse arc (for obvious reasons) and has a release date of May 27, 2016. Think alternate timeline brought about by time travel and an all powerful immortal mutant named Apocalypse who runs everything.
It’s a pretty smart move placing the film in 2016 considering in 2015 it would have to compete with The Avengers: Age of Ultron, the second Mockingjay film, Ant-Man, Star Wars: Episode VII, The Amazing Spider-Man 3, Batman Vs. Superman (or whatever it’s called) and the 8,000 other films coming out that year.
Although 2016 will supposedly also see X-Force, The Flash and according to IMBD, something called Untitled Loch Ness Monster Project. So you know, a lot of good stuff.
We can’t wait.
