Rogue Edited Out of “X-Men: Days of Future Past”

Rogue X-Men

Oh no, after director Bryan Singer went through and edited X-Men: Days of Future Past, he actually removed the only scene with Rogue! Which is a greater tragedy than that time she had to watch her boyfriend make Kitty Pryde an ice-skating rink in that movie that shall not be named.

Which is pretty ridiculous considering every single other mutant and their mother are in this film. Even ones who have yet to be introduced to the film series.

Sorry Anna Paquin, it’s not your fault.

When revealing the news, Singer explained, “Through the editing process, the sequence became extraneous. It’s a really good sequence and it will probably end up on the DVD so people can see it. But like many things in the editing process, it was an embarrassment of riches and it was just one of the things that had to go.”

“Unfortunately, it was the one and only sequence Anna Paquin was in, the Rogue character was in. Even though she’s in the materials and part of the process of making the film, she won’t appear in it.”

On the plus side, at least the deleted scene will appear on the DVD (or more likely DVD/Blu-ray, what year do you think this is Bryan Singer?) where fans can enjoy it.

Still though, we’re side-eying this development super hard.
