John Green’s most recent young adult novel The Fault in Our Stars is already a tear worthy movie and before it was even released in theatres, his second to last standalone novel Paper Towns got its film rights snapped up.
Now, nine years after Green’s first novel Looking for Alaska was set to become a film, things are finally moving along!
Or at least a screenplay is being written.
John Green confirmed the news today, sharing on his Twitter account:
Paramount first bought the rights to Looking for Alaska in 2005. We’re glad they finally decided to do something with it.
Hopefully those won’t be our famous last words.
