The “Game of Thrones” Season 5 Trailer Arrived in 2015, But Unfortunately “Winds of Winter” Won’t

We have a sort of good news/bad news situation to share with you.

Good news? The “Game of Thrones” Season 5 trailer is here — complete with David Bowie cover. Bad news? George R. R. Martin won’t be releasing Winds of Winter in 2015.

Unless that’s what he wants us to think. But probably not.

You can watch the high resolution version of the trailer over on the official “Game of Thrones” Facebook page.

There are sand snakes, Tyrion is on a journey to find Daenerys, Jorah is in the fighting pits and there are plenty of other things that haven’t even happened in the books yet.

Speaking of those books, according to Martin’s publisher there are no plans for the sixth book to be released in 2015. Because of course there isn’t.

  1. It’s really frustrating that he takes so long so I’m taking my time re-reading his books. I could have sworn that last year they said Winds of Winter wouldn’t be released until 2017.
