Game of Thrones will draw to a close in 2018, but that doesn’t mean that HBO is ready to let its cash cow go, or that creator George R. R. Martin is ready to finally finish Winds of Winter.
The network has announced that it is currently developing four spin-off series from four different writers. Martin will assist with writing on two of these projects.
The writers include Max Borenstein, who most recently penned Kong: Skull Island, Jane Goldman of Kingsman and X-Men: First Class fame, A Knight’s Tale‘s Brian Helgeland and Carly Wray from Mad Men.
Not many details have been released, but HBO did tease that the shows will “explore different time periods of George R. R. Martin’s vast and rich universe.”
GRRM will executive produce alongside Game of Thrones show-runners David Benioff and Dan Weiss.
