Lin-Manuel Miranda Joins ‘The Kingkiller Chronicle’ Adaptation

Lin-Manuel Miranda is not throwing away his shot at being part of The Kingkiller Chronicle adaptation, which currently includes both a feature film and a television series.

The first book in the series — The Name of the Wind — will make up the film, followed by a television series continuing the as-yet unfinished trilogy.

LMM has signed on alongside author Patrick Rothfuss to be a creative producer. He will also compose original music and songs for the adaptations.

The Official ‘Logan’ Trailer Finally Introduces Us to X-23

The trailer for Logan — Hugh Jackman’s final film before he hangs up his adamantium claws — has arrived, and it’s brought a surprise: the inclusion of X-23!

In addition to the appearance of Wolverine’s female clone, the brand new trailer hints at some Old Man Logan-esque elements, and some decidedly un-Old Man Logan ones.

Margaret Atwood’s ‘The Heart Goes Last’ May Get a Small Screen Adaptation Too

Yet another Margaret Atwood novel may make its way to the small screen, joining Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale adaptation, Netflix’s adaptation of Alias Grace and HBO’s take on the MaddAddam trilogy.

This time around the novel in question is Atwood’s latest speculative fiction tale The Heart Goes Last.

The rights to the novel were purchased by MGM TV, the same company producing that Handmaid’s Tale adaptation on Hulu.
