The duo are currently in talks with the BBC to bring the OG vampire to life on the small screen.

Universal Resurrecting Classic Horror Monsters For Absolutely No Reason

Universal Pictures is bringing classic monsters back from the dead and we do not want.

Dubbed the Dark Universe franchise, Russell Crowe (yuck) is slated to play Dr. Jekyll, Johnny Depp (double yuck) will tackle the role of the Invisible Man and Javier Bardem will play Frankenstein’s Monster.

They join Tom Cruise (triple yuck) and Sofia Boutella, who star in the upcoming — and completely unnecessary — Mummy remake.

HBO is Developing Four ‘Game of Thrones’ Spin-Offs Even Though We Still Haven’t Gotten ‘Winds of Winter’ Yet

Game of Thrones will draw to a close in 2018, but that doesn’t mean that HBO is ready to let its cash cow go, or that creator George R. R. Martin is ready to finally finish Winds of Winter.

The network has announced that it is currently developing four spin-off series from four different writers. Martin will assist with writing on two of these projects.

The writers include Max Borenstein, who most recently penned Kong: Skull Island, Jane Goldman of Kingsman and X-Men: First Class fame, A Knight’s Tale‘s Brian Helgeland and Carly Wray from Mad Men.
